FORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Before my dad and my brother took off to Utah last week we were able to go play around of golf. We all like to play but rarely get out to play, so we took the opportunity to play all together. Even though we all ended up with terrible scores it was a lot of fun just being together and hanging out. Occasionally there were some great drive and perfect puts. We did have some unexpected weather conditions for a few holes. Wind, lightning, thunder and rain....people driving by probably thought we were crazy but the storm passed pretty quickly. Hopefully we will have more opportunities for all of us to play together. I will have to say that if we played more we would probably be pretty good. Just have to get out there and practice. Dad can still out drive us....sometimes. ha
A quick definition for those who don't know. "Fore!" is shouted as a warning during a golf game when it appears possible that a golf ball may hit other players or spectators.
Luckily none of us had to shout out "fore!"... but then again no one else was on the course.

RETURNING WITH HONOR

Skyler returned home a week ago from the Manchester England Mission. My parents, Cody and Shayna were in England for about a week before picking Skyler up. Brooke and I along with Paul, Ashley and their girls, Grandma Poulton, Grammy, Uncle Marc and Kyle Grieder were all anxiously waiting at John Wayne Airport for his return home. We were all so excited to see Skyler that we totally forgot to take a family picture at the airport with him, but Brooke and I got this one as we waited for him to come down the escalator. It was an awesome reunion with our brother. We are so proud of him and grateful for his service. He has grown so much in the gospel. He seems to have a permanent smile on his face and you can feel the love he has for others and our Savior Jesus Christ.
Skyler's homecoming talk was inspiring and incredible. All those that were able to attend were truly blessed. If you weren't there you missed out.
Skyler was only home for about 5 days before he had to leave for Utah to prepare for the fall semester at BYU. We know that he will continue to be focused and dedicated to everything he does. We wish him the best as he returns to school and also the football field.
We love you Skyler!

SWAP MEET, MOVIE, DINNER, SUNSET

We speant most of the day last Saturday in Orange County, waiting for my family to return home from England with Skyler. First, we went to the swap meet, with no success of what we wanted to get there but it was a lot of fun as usual. After finding out the the flight was going to be delayed we had a few extra hours to waste so we decided to go see a movie. We saw the new movie, The Switch, and we both liked it. It was pretty funny and entertaining. After the movie we went to huntington beach for dinner at BJ's. Their pizza is so delicious! After dinner we still had some time to kill and we took a drive down the PCH and caught a beautiful sunset. We pulled over and snapped a few photos.

PUPPY UPDATE

Well, its going on day 5 since we found the puppy and she has been great. We put up signs on all the main corners near our house on Saturday but still no calls about the dog. Not sure what we are going to do with her. Nothing to complain about, she is great. She doesn't bark at all, well behaved and house trained. We keep her inside at night when we are sleeping. She has a little bed made out of a sheet in the laundry room. She whines for about 10 mins when we put her in there and then we don't hear her at all. We keep her in the back yard while we are gone during the day and she just plays and roams around until we get home from work or school. She is crazy excited when she does see us. Yesterday she followed me all around the yard while I was mowing the grass. I think she would have sat  in my lap on the lawn mower if there was enough room.
Brooke has made it very clear we are NOT taking her to the pound. lol

We just call her "Pup" for now.

LOST and FOUND

I left for work yesterday and when I pulled out of the drive way, in the middle of the street I could see a dog. Its not rare to see dogs running around up here in La Cresta, but its really dangerous when its near the main road. A lot of cars driving really fast. As I drove closer to the dog it approached the car. I stopped and realized it was a pit bull. She is still a puppy, probably close to a year old. She was very friendly and excited to see me. I got out of the car, to check the collar but it had no name tag. We have no idea what the dogs name is but it is very obedient. I have no idea where it came from but I am sure someone is looking for her. I tried to put it in the bed of my truck to take it back to the house because I didn't want it wondering around and possibly get hit by a car. She didn't like the bed so much so I put her down and she jumped right up into the cab of the truck and sat in the passenger seat. It was pretty cool. I brought her home and Brooke fell in love. We decided to keep in in the back yard, give it some water and dog food. She grubbed on the food like it hadn't been fed in days. So... I left for work and left Brooke in charge of the puppy. While at work I got a picture message from Brooke of the dog and it had a dog toy in it's mouth  and the text said, " Babe don't be mad, I bought her a toy :) " hahaha Brooke had a little friend all day to spend with by the pool while I was at work. We decided to make a few signs and post them today. I am pretty sure she was an expensive puppy and there are some people that would take advantage of stealing a dog like this. Hopefully we can find the right owner and hopefully they are looking for her.... cause I am sure my mom would not like to have a permanent dog around here.

She is a lot of fun to play with. Yesterday when I got home Brooke and I played with her in the back yard. She doesn't run she hops. its pretty funny to watch.

Catch me When i fall..

Ryan and I both signed up to play softball in our ward at church..fun righttt??
I can honestly say that i have never, i mean never ever have played baseball/softball, so I'm hoping this is going to be a good experience. I'm thinking I'll just watch.(If Ryan lets me) Ryan thought it would be a good idea for us to play catch and see how well my hand eye coordination was.. Overall i would say decent... i let the ball hit me a few times, it was quite comical.. Ryan got technical and tried to get into detail about all the rules, what to do and not to do etc..It just went right over my head.. so i just nodded and looked pretty:) Oh and did i mention our first game is this Saturday! hopefully i do okay and not make too many mistakes! Just thought that i would post some pictures of us(Well Ryan at least) showing off our skills!

.
Don't you just love my outfit for playing catch?;)

DAILY WALK

Today we decided that we need to take more advantage of where we live, so we decided that we are going to take walks on evenings that we don't have anything going on. Tonight was the the first of many walks hopefully..... then eventually maybe it will turn into a jog or run. We didn't venture too far from the house but eventually we will take advantage of the trails on the plateau. It was a nice, quiet walk as the sun went down, and a lot of fun just having a little time to ourselves.

FOR TIME AND ALL ETERNITY

"An eternal marriage is eternal. Eternal
implies continuing growth and improvement. It means that man and
wife will honestly try to perfect themselves. It means that the marriage relationship is not to be frivolously discarded at the first sign of disagreement or when times get hard. It signifies that love will grow stronger with time and that it extends beyond the grave. It means that each partner will be blessed with the company of the other partner forever and that problems and differences might as well be resolved because they are not going to go away. Eternal signifies repentance, forgiveness, long-suffering, patience, hope, charity, love, and humility. All of these things are involved in anything that is eternal, and surely we must learn and practice them if we intend to claim an eternal marriage." F. Burton Howard

We got married on June 5, 2010 for "Time and All Eternity" in the San Diego Temple.
We wanted to start a new blog as a new family so here it is. We want to keep it updated with all the fun, exciting, crazy things that go on with our lives. We have so many pictures to post and things to write about that it might take a while to get all caught up but we are determined.
There is a lot more wedding photos to come!
